Hello, my name is Breanne Charles (she/her) and I am passionate about creating a supportive, professional, and genuinely caring space where you can feel safe to explore what may be holding you back from living the life you want.
Reaching out for support can feel vulnerable, and my hope is that our work together feels steady, respectful, and empowering.
I use an integrative approach to therapy, which means I draw from a variety of evidence-based practices so that our work is tailored specifically to you. Together, we can focus on practical tools to help you manage ongoing symptoms such as anxiety, stress, or sleep challenges, while also gently exploring deeper patterns to create meaningful, lasting change.
My primary approaches include Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and somatic (body-based) techniques. I also incorporate mindfulness and compassion practices, creative exercises such as art therapy, and personality exploration tools like the Enneagram when helpful. Every session is adapted to your unique goals, strengths, and values.
I hold a Master’s degree in Counselling from Athabasca University and am a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors. I have additional training in trauma-informed practice, response-based practice, cultural safety, and burnout prevention.
Much of my professional experience has been supporting women who have experienced intimate partner violence, and I have worked with individuals across the lifespan—from teens to seniors. I commonly support clients with concerns such as anxiety, insomnia, relationship challenges, trauma, grief, life transitions, chronic illness, self-image, emotional regulation, and stress.
If you are looking for a space where you can feel heard, understood, and supported while building practical skills and deeper self-awareness, I would be honoured to work with you.
I am currently accepting new clients and look forward to meeting you.
